Jim Wilkinson is Of Counsel to the Massachusetts law firm of Murray, Kelly & Bertrand, P.C. located in Woburn, MA.  Over the last thirty years Jim has concentrated his legal practice in the representation of Massachusetts health care professionals involved in professional liability claims and matters pending before professional licensing boards. Jim serves as a consultant to medical professional liability insurance providers and hospital quality assurance/improvement and risk management programs in the greater Boston area.  He frequently speaks before medical organizations and societies, grand rounds and continuing legal and medical education programs. Jim also serves, pro bono, as Counsel to the Federation of State Physician Health Services.

Jim was born in Brooklyn, and grew up in Levittown, New York.  He earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Hofstra University and was elected to Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society.  Jim also played as a midfielder on Hofstra’s nationally ranked Division I lacrosse team.

Jim graduated from Suffolk University Law School in 1984. While earning his law degree, Jim was selected to the Suffolk University Law Review and published Case Notes concerning Federal and state Constitutional Law issues.  He also represented indigent persons in civil and criminal matters as a member of the Suffolk University Voluntary Defenders program.
